Dynamic Line Rating (DLR) calculates line ampacity using real-time conditions (wind speed, ambient temperature, solar irradiance, conductor temperature), often via sensors and weather models. Compared with static/seasonal ratings, DLR unlocks additional capacity when conditions are favorable and can enhance reliability and situational awareness.
