Community Solar

General

Definition

Community solar is a solar power project or array of panels whose electricity output is shared by multiple subscribers in the community. Participants (often homeowners, renters, or businesses) can buy or lease a portion of the community solar farm and receive credits on their electricity bill for the power produced by their share. This model allows people who can’t install panels on their own property to still benefit from solar energy and supports broader access to renewable investment opportunities.
